We are working with schools to bolster educators' immune systems and soothe their stress levels. We'll focus on DC but share our successes (and failures) freely nationwide via YouTube and social media. And of course we preach "Team-care" more than Self-care (which is never enough, especially for teachers). Please support our new nonprofit by giving a tax-deductible gift that supports school wellness in this challenging year.
You can read our five findings and our five recommendations from the Pilot welllness project we did with 12 D.C. organizations. Hint: they helped us realize the need for Team-Care!
These bilingual videos feature the voices and advice of staff at LAMB-PCS in Washington, D.C. Subtitled in English and Spanish, this "Consejos de Bienestar" series shows how nonprofit workers and K-12 educators can connect virtually, meaningfully, by supporting each other with wellness tips.
You can follow Gabby's expert lead (and huff and puff along with Susan) in this circuit, part of our "Breaks" playlist on YouTube.
This one focuses on your core, but also on endorphins (nature's painkillers) created through exercise. We all need exercise right now, to boost our immune systems, tone our muscles and MOST IMPORTANTLY, lift our spirits.
Maria-Jose Carrasco (LAMB-PCS) leads a popular anxiety-busting 5-4-3-2-1 exercise in Spanish (with English subtitles). This is a presence-focused mindfulness practice.

In this 7-minute cardio workout, Gabby & Susan demo a high- and low-impact circuit to get your blood pumping. They chat about things like "spreading the floor," alignment, balance, glutes, and BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor). Keep your spirits high and your bodies healthy.
In this video (in Spanish, subtitled in English), we practice an exercise focused on "mantra" led by Daniel Medina. Mantra is one method of mindfulness, and meditation, which is beneficial for focus, memory, immunity and joy.

5-minutes of easy, medium & hard versions of arm extensions, any time of day. Get your heart rate up, get your brain lit up, create some endorphins, relieve some stress, and get back to work. Our YouTube channel has more videos of trainings, mindfulness exercises, workouts, teacher tips and more.
Squats are so important for leg strength and hip health. Ty leads a quick squat break for any time of day. Pump up the music for an added boost.
In 2018, we ran a Pilot with 60 nonprofit workers in DC. Spoiler Alert: Addressing wellness at nonprofits is complex! Let us know what you think of our 5 findings and 5 recommendations.
